E-Cube – a resource-efficient alternative to traditional venturi wet scrubbing

The classic Venturi wet scrubbing system has been considered the standard in paint shops for decades. However, it requires a high input of water, chemicals and energy, as well as considerable maintenance effort.

With E-Cube, Eisenmann offers a proven alternative that consistently eliminates these disadvantages. The modular dry separation system operates completely without water, chemicals or other additives. Its cardboard filters consist of more than 80% recycled material and reliably separate overspray from the process air using sophisticated hybrid filter technology. Dry separation is generally operated in recirculation mode. This has the advantage that air conditioning can be reduced to a minimum, significantly lowering energy consumption.

The operating principle is as simple as it is efficient:
The booth air, enriched with paint particles, is sucked down and into the E-Cube filter system. There, the particles are separated in specially developed hybrid filters, while a second filter stage ensures a separation efficiency of more than 99%. Thanks to redundant filter strands, the filters can be changed automatically during operation – ensuring maximum system availability, simple maintenance and an economical and sustainable painting process.

The E-Cube system combines the highest separation performance with resource-efficient operation and ease of handling, making it a sustainable solution for the requirements of modern paint shops.

Challenges & solution

Challenges
in paint shops

  • Maintain high standards for sustainability
    and energy balance.
  • Careful use of resources is required.
  • The painting process must be reliably monitored.

The solution

Thanks to its optimized filter architecture, the second-generation E-Cube further reduces the carbon footprint. This decreases the pressure drop while increasing the capacity of the filter, enabling the adapted filter media to capture all current paint types with one standard E-Cube. These improvements reduce filter costs for operators by up to 50%.

Focus on cost-effectiveness and sustainability

Investment & planning benefits

  • The installation is beneath the grating level of the spray booth and takes up minimal space.
  • A reduced number of system components results in less maintenance effort
  • Pre-testing of the docking modules allows for expedited commissioning.

Operation & Sustainability

  • Thanks to waterless operation, energy-efficient recirculating air conditioning is possible.
  • It can last for many weeks thanks to its high paint absorption capacity.
  • The filters can be cleaned and replaced quickly during ongoing operation.
