EISENMANN’s patent-pending BIOGAS-TS is an integrated closed-loop anaerobic digestion process technology that converts thin stillage (backset) and syrup into methane, which decreases the plant’s carbon footprint and improves operations, without producing any external waste streams.

In addition to generating renewable biogas, the unique integrated design improves the plant’s performance through the reduction in fermentation inhibitors and non-fermentable solids recycling. Improved backset quality results in improved fermentation performance. The reduced solids recycling allows for the addition of more fermentable solids at the front-end of the plant, and reduces load on the back-end of the plant.
