On October 19, 2011, Eisenmann acquired Ruhstrat GmbH. Ruhstrat’s core competencies include development and construction of industrial carbonization furnaces. Eisenmann’s portfolio already includes oxidation ovens and exhaust air treatment systems for carbon fiber production – and the deal means the company can now offer turnkey solutions. Its aim is to become a global technology and market leader for carbon fiber production plants.
Eisenmann and Ruhstrat established a sales partnership a number of years ago. By pooling core competencies for carbon fiber production, significant efficiencies will be created in product development, sales and project management.
Specialist knowledge and skills
Ruhstrat is a medium-sized family-owned business with a long tradition – yet it has remained at the forefront of the industry. Founded in 1888 by brothers Adolf and Ernst Ruhstrat, the electrical engineering company has been an established presence on the international market for many years.
Ruhstrat is a specialist provider of custom and electrical engineering solutions. Rather than producing standard, off-the-peg products, the company provides state-of-the-art technology tailored to the specific needs of each customer.
In the custom engineering segment, Ruhstrat has particular expertise in the construction of carbonization furnaces and heat-treatment plants for laboratory and industrial purposes.
Electrical engineering solutions include high-performance transformers, constant-voltage transformers, variable transformers and power resistors.
